Book a Culture Day

Our story

From Ngadju Country, to you.

Ngadju Dancers are Ngadju people from Norseman and the southern Goldfields of Western Australia. For 30 years we have carried our dances, stories and ways of living to schools, workplaces and communities.

Our Country

Salmon gums, granite, salt lakes and red earth

Ngadju Country stretches across the southern Goldfields around Norseman and takes in much of the Great Western Woodlands, one of the largest temperate woodlands left on Earth.

Our dances, stories and language come from this land. When we perform, we bring a piece of Country with us.

Culture isn't something you read about. It's something you take part in.

Why we do this

01

Keep culture strong

Every performance passes dances and stories to the next generation of Ngadju dancers.

02

Build understanding

Students and staff learn directly from Aboriginal people, not from a textbook.

03

Walk together

Respect and reconciliation grow from real relationships, one school and one team at a time.

04

Opportunity for our young people

The troupe gives young Ngadju dancers pride, skills and a stage.
